And this here, folks, is proof that no matter what party you side with, the government is still a very manipulative and corrupt thing. Both candidates have and will continue to play into the scams and lies that the government wants us to believe.

I haven't gone off the deep end. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I'm a realist, and there is far too much proof that we live under a deceptive government. We the people can't do much about it, but being aware, questioning, and not accepting whatever the government and/or politicians tell you is a big first step. As long as we're kept under their thumb, they can continue doing what they please.

I'm not an Obama worshipper, just to make that clear. I think it's sick that we're forced to choose from two candidates who are both members of corrupt parties. But as the saying goes, I feel compelled to pick the lesser of two evils.

And on another note, I get more angry every time I think about how ludicrous it is that we still use an electoral college. You know how they say that every vote counts? That's blatantly a lie. If you voted a different way than the majority of your state, guess what? Too bad, so sad... your vote didn't count.

I'm so tired of the stupidity. I'm tired of the selfishness, the closed-mindedness, the fear, and the overdone loyalty. Step back and take a lot at this country. Take a look at the government. How are people so disillusioned that they can continue to support a system that is desperately failing, that is cruel and that is lacking? Is it honestly believable what your party is telling you?! God forbid we raise taxes on the rich people so that we can improve our health care, social security, and education systems. Yeah, you claim you're a Christian but you can't give another small fraction of your paycheck to help your fellow citizen get the medical attention they need. I'm sure that's what Jesus would do. Oh, but that money might end up in the hands of a lazy person that doesn't deserve it! Then let's make sure it doesn't get to the hands of any American in need! Isn't it time people pull their heads out of their asses and decide, "Wow, it really wouldn't kill me to admit our country needs some changes and if some of them come at a slight expense to me, so be it." And regardless, that's only the very marginal 1% of our wealthiest citizens! What is your excuse, average Joe? Do you like not being able to afford your health care and the health care for all your children? Do you give a shit that you probably won't be able to afford your child's college education? Oh, but that's all irrelevant because this war is so incredibly important for us to stay in! Somehow I can't picture Jesus being out there on the front lines supporting this war. Maybe it's time we grow up and use words instead of guns. (Russia needs to learn that lesson, too, but we're not setting a great example, are we?)

Just take a lot at our choices here. Take a look at the human beings who are running for president. Not even what their policies are, for a moment, just look at their character. I'm so desperately ready for a president that has a heart and wants to build rather than destroy, who wants positivity over fear, and who doesn't blatantly lie to try and uphold the image of what we all know is a corrupt government.

And if you also look at the countries that are doing better than us economically and otherwise, you might notice the trend that, oh no! their taxes are kind of high! And guess what? They haven't all fallen to pieces because of it. There are more wealthy people there. Their health care, elderly care, and education systems are doing exceedingly well.

Is it not time people take these things into consideration and stop being IGNORANT to the situation? Look at the big picture. Look at the hearts and intentions of people. And for goodness sake, STOP trying to defend the stupidity like saying Sarah Palin is not positively fucking retarded for supporting the teaching of abstinence only while she's got a knocked up teenager! Yeah guys, Palin is so good at what she does!

Okay so that was an immature way to end my rant, but I'm so frustrated with humanity right now. I just want something positive to come out of this election. Please, please, something positive.

I saw the most heartbreaking documentary today.
Things you wouldn't believe could happen
in this day and age, they do.
Countries you've never given a second thought,
they desperately need help.
Yet the news never says a word.
Why has Uganda been in a war for 17 years?
Why have SO MANY CHILDREN been abducted; killed?
And why have we done nothing?
Watching Jacob sob tears of pain down him
14 years old face, my heart just hurt.

I wish I could put all of myself into this cause.
I want to get involved somehow.

"I have nothing. I don’t even have a blanket. We don’t have anything to do with food. Maybe we can eat once a day... so it is better when you kill us. And, if possible you can kill us, you kill us. For us, we don’t want now to stay. No one taking care of us. We are not going to school..." - Jacob
Immediately after saying this, the filmmakers cried with him.
